We extend our deepest condolences to his family. If we want to keep innovation alive, we need to spark curiosity early. We are the main stakeholder in the Nei Hollerich project and a proud member of the Groupement d'intérêt économique (GIE) Nei Hollerich, working in close partnership with Landimmo Real Estate . Sharing this with students and children isn’t just a company mission, it’s a societal responsibility.

His foresight, determination and courage to build and transform have left a lasting impact on our company.

  • Nei Hollerich – Foundations for the Future We’re excited to share a first aerial look at Nei Hollerich, Luxembourg City’s future urban district. A big thank you to everybody involved for making this possible. Recently, some of our colleagues could explore the new lab of the Paul Wurth Chair and got a firsthand look at instrumental work on membranes and ammonia—two technologies that could reshape the future of sustainable industry.

What’s taking shape:  ~21 hectares of land  ~390,000 m² of above-ground gross floor area  🏘️ 2,200 housing units for approx.

    Paul Wurth

Paul Wurth S.A. is committed to innovation, with a workforce of about 500 employees in Luxembourg, including subsidiaries such as Paul Wurth Geprolux and TMT – Tapping Measuring Technology.

🔶 Our guest speakers, Lea Jemming from Schroeder & Associés S.A. and Florent Mauret from Paul Wurth S.A., shared valuable insights into their daily work - which does not only consist of analyses and calculations! They are constantly researching and developing new technological solutions and products that take best care of our customers’ needs, deliver industrial performance, and ensure safe, reliable, and profitable operation while tackling today’s environmental challenges.

We are currently developing two major urban projects: · Nei Hollerich: A 10.6-hectare site on the grounds of the former Paul Wurth foundry and workshops, being transformed into a dynamic, mixed-use district. Up to 70% less CO2 emissions, highest flexibility in energy and input materials and modular. Let’s keep moving forward together!

Our portfolio includes the construction of complete blast furnaces, cokemaking plants, direct reduction plants as well as recycling facilities with a full range of services in engineering, project management, site supervision, commissioning assistance, operator consulting and after-sales, with a special focus on digital solutions. We have more than 450 highly skilled and talented professionals working at our company in the heart of Luxembourg.

Working at Paul Wurth and within SMS group means building long-term relationships, in diverse, multicultural, international teams and being part of our global challenge to continuously innovate. The visit sparked new ideas, fresh synergies, and reaffirmed the power of academic partnerships in driving real-world innovation. 👏 A big thank-you to the organiser Guillaume Trap, speakers, and all participants for another successful edition!
